Q. Who is eligible to lodge an Exchange Control Online Application?
A. Anyone who has a valid TIN can use this online portal to lodge an application.
Q. I do not have a valid TIN, can I still lodge an application?
A. For those who wish to lodge an application without a valid TIN, they can do so with an Authorized Exchange Dealer (AED) or at Reserve bank of Fiji. The applicants without TIN cannot use this portal to submit online application themselves.
Q. What is an Application Number?
A. An Application Number is system auto generated key that uniquely identifies an application. It is important to save this number for future references regarding the application.
Q. What can I do if I lose my Application Number?
A. Please contact Reserve Bank of Fiji at +679 3223 371, incase you have lost your Application Number.
Q. How do I know what purpose I am applying for?
A. The purpose/reason for lodging an application is mandatory. If for some reason you are unsure of the purpose you can always download the documentary requirements in the pdf format for further information. Please be sure to note different purposes have different documentary requirements.
Q. What is the difference between an Application Number and a Permit number?
A. An application will always have and be referenced by its Application Number. However, a Permit number is only assigned to applications that are approved by RBF. Once approved an AED will require a valid Permit number to carry out transactions.
Q. What is the processing time for approvals?
A. In most cases approvals are granted within 2-5 working days. However, in some complicated cases it may take longer.
